Guide Update

February 26, 2026 4:01 pm

Alex Wigley, our Heli Skiing Operations Manager, recently shared an update on conditions across our nearly one-million-acre ski area:

"This past week's guests have had a mix of beautiful blue sunny days, and days navigating through light snowfall. Each day has been filled with dry, boot top powder that is easy to ski, and kicks up large powder clouds behind skiers as they race through our expansive terrain. Guests have been skiing in "The Gods", Leckie, Gun, Slim, Dickson, and Vayu areas, exploring a new zone each day. Recently we've had strong winds, but our deep U shaped valleys still hold soft snow for groups to explore while we wait for the next storm."

Keen to join us?

Don't forget: at Tyax Heliskiing, we operate with a one-group-per-helicopter format, which means no waiting on other groups, no rushing, and more skiing. It’s a relaxed, exclusive, and is a truly unforgettable experience.
